Prospect the people who react when others talk about your topic

You name the accounts that talk about your market, or you give your topics. MimikFlow reads their recent posts, keeps the people who liked or commented and fit your audience, then contacts them at the usual pace.

The competitors' audience is a MimikFlow prospect source. It reads posts under seven days old from the accounts you follow, whether competitors, media or creators, and public posts about your topics. Everyone who liked or commented is scored against your audience before entering your campaign.

How does the competitors' audience work?

  1. 01

    You choose what to watch

People's profiles, the link to a specific post, and topics. Company pages cannot be followed. Your connected AI assistant can also suggest a list of accounts, which you approve before anything is saved.

  2. 02

    MimikFlow reads recent posts

Every four hours, the source reads posts under seven days old from these accounts and public posts about your topics. Reposts are dropped: their audience reacted to someone else's words.

  3. 03

    Useful reactions are sorted

Copy-paste comments under a post promising a resource are ignored. Comments that match your keywords come first, then real comments, then likes.

  4. 04

    Every person is scored

Role, company, country and do-not-contact list: the same checks as search. Someone already in your campaign is not added twice.

  5. 05

    The prospect enters your campaign

They receive an invitation, then a first message that starts from the post's topic and from what they wrote under it, at the same pace as your other prospects.

Why is a competitor's audience a good source?

People who react to a post about your topic show that it concerns them now. A sales director commenting on a post about prospecting, a founder liking an analysis of your market: these are public signs of interest in a problem you solve, often from people you would never have found through a job title search.

The accounts that post a lot about your topic, competitors, specialised media, voices of your market, gather exactly these people. Instead of watching them go by, MimikFlow reads their recent posts and extracts the useful reactions.

Keep this signal's limit in mind: the person was interested in a topic, not in you. That is why these prospects follow the normal journey, invitation then first message, and why the message never claims the post was yours.

What do you control in this source?

Accounts followed

A list of profiles or posts. When it is long, accounts are read in turn so the whole list is covered over successive passes.

Topics

Keywords used to find public posts on your theme. They are also flagged when they appear in a post or a comment, without ever filtering anyone out.

Conversation strategy

Free text copied onto the page of every prospect this source creates. It guides the first message and the AI's replies: how to open, what to avoid, when to name the post's author.

Source order

You decide whether these prospects come before or after search prospects in the queue for invitations and first messages.

Your network

If you chose to never contact your existing connections, the rule also applies to this source.

What safeguards frame this source?

Genuinely recent posts

Each post's date is checked: beyond seven days it is ignored, even if it shows up in results.

No misplaced thank-you

The first message never thanks anyone for a reaction and never implies the post was yours. It only names the author if your strategy asks for it.

A dedicated share of reads

Every profile read counts toward your LinkedIn account's daily limit, with a share reserved for this source so it does not slow your search.

No duplicates

Someone already in your campaign is not recreated, and someone your audience already ruled out is not scored again on every new reaction.

Which accounts should you follow to find prospects?

The best accounts are not necessarily your direct competitors. A specialised media outlet, a creator who talks about your trade or an expert who often posts about the problem you solve attract the same people as you. Choose accounts whose audience looks like your buyers, not only well-known accounts.

You can also follow a specific post, for example one that sparked many comments on your topic. And if you do not know where to start, just give your topics: MimikFlow will look for recent public posts about them.

From your AI assistant, a request like "go find my competitors" searches for the accounts that post most about your topic and shows you the list with what each one publishes. Nothing is saved without your approval.

What does the first message to these prospects look like?

It opens on the post's topic and, when the person commented, on what they wrote. It never thanks them for a like they gave someone else, never claims the post was yours and only names its author if your strategy says so.

Your conversation strategy, copied onto the page of every prospect this source creates, is read by the first message as well as by the AI's replies. It is the place to say how to open, which angle to favour and what to avoid, without touching the rest of your campaign.

Which plan includes the competitors' audience?

The competitors' audience is included in Pro and Agency, and stays open during the 14-day free trial. It is not available on Discovery. On Agency, the source is set campaign by campaign, so client by client.

What do people ask about the competitors' audience?

Can I follow a competitor's company page?

No. Only people's profiles or specific posts can be followed. For a company, follow its leaders or spokespeople who post, or paste the link to a specific post.

Will the prospect know I found them under a competitor's post?

The message starts from the topic and from what they wrote, without thanking them for the reaction or naming the post's author, unless your strategy asks for it. It never claims the post was yours.

Do I need both accounts and topics?

Either one is enough. Accounts let MimikFlow read their posts, topics let it find recent public posts about them. Both together cover more ground.

Are these prospects contacted faster than others?

No. They were interested in a topic, not in you, so they follow the normal journey: invitation, then first message at the usual pace. You can, however, place them before or after your other sources.

How long before the first prospects arrive?

A first pass starts as soon as you turn the source on, then it rereads your accounts and topics every four hours. Kept prospects then follow the usual invitation pace.

Is it available on Discovery?

No. The source is reserved for Pro and Agency, and stays available during the 14-day free trial.
